  • I have lost al hope that most organizations can keep up with hackers. The only hacks we probably hear about seem to be health care institutions that are probably legally mandated to report. Can you imagine the downside to Schwab's stock price if …
  • Somewhere there is a calculation of their equity returns, exclusive of their large cash position. It is quite good. I am not sure why they don't put more money into the names they like.
  • @Low_Tech I made a concerted effort several years ago to find out what the CEO et at VG REALLY make. Sometimes you can find their published salaries but the key employes get to participate i a sort "profit sharing plan" similar to stock options.Th…
  • @Mark Is that 5.8% of your current account value, or your cost basis? Isn't it hard to generate a yield that high without a lot of MLPs and REITS and /or BDCs etc?
  • The main reason it is underperforming is I doubled my position last fall. never fails
  • the payout looks pretty variable. 74 cents a share last year but only 22 cents in 2021. I wonder if a lot of this in interest on the Treasuries 58% in natural resource stocks. Other Natural resource funds have done some better recently
  • If this is the entire list for ETF fees, some of the ETF companies originally listed ( like Simplify) are not on it. I wonder if they cut a deal

  • @Mark Many of the stocks you mention are in SHCD which pays 3.4% It excludes REITS and while I think it has too many small positions it is good for one stop shopping, relatively low volatility ad a decent payout.
  • I just finished a look for best performing Dividend and Dividend growth funds and was surprised that VDIGX has not beaten many similar funds. VIG pays a higher Dividend and is ahead for last few years, as is SCHD PRDGX seems to be a better div…
  • Schwab let me transfer Admiral shares and when I asked nicely, my account rep eliminated the fee to purchase more, but this may depend on the size of all your accounts
  • It looks like the fee starts in July, unless you have $5,000,000 in funds there Better get out while the getting is good This might be the final nail in the Vanguard coffin for me
  • I started a position in GPMCX around the time most everyone else did here back in 2015. After going great guns, and then recovering from Covid, since 2021 it has been all downhill. Fortunately I sold most of the position. I have a hard time figu…
