For you accounting guys and CPA's.....

Is there elite or superior software utilized by CPA's to perform personal individual income taxes? If yes, what is the name of the software?

CPA firms use many different software packages, there isn't one "Turbo-Tax" like there is for individuals doing their own taxes. Some of the top tier (also meaning super expensive) ones are UltraTax, ProSystem fx, and Lacerte. The next tier includes Drake and ATX. Tax franchises like H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt have their own proprietary in-house software.

  • Thanks briboe69. Probably a good practice to ask CPA's what software they use to make sure I am getting top tier results.
