Art Cashin: Dissects To Market Rally After Putin's Comments

Comments

  • edited March 2014
We're in tough shape if we have to hang our investment hat on every word Putin utters. I'll stick to my earlier take that the net result of all this will be increased defense spending and eventual spillover into bigger deficits and a weakening dollar. To the extent that's stimulative, it isn't necessarily bad. However, will take several years to play out. I'd be leaning more towards commodities and foreign curriencies and less towards equities at this juncture. Let's see what develops over next 6 months or so.

Cashin said next to nothing in the clip: "Putin said ...... Market did ....." Huh? I like Cashin. Just wish poor fella would take a vacation. Always appears kinda haggard and worn out.:-)
  • I don't get much out of him. I think CNBC uses him like the wise old man.
