Gundlach/TCW case moves to the jury...LIP

Comments

  • I think this is particularly odd:

"he two sides also clashed over whether Mr. Gundlach had a valid contract with TCW. Mr. Quinn said Mr. Gundlach did not have a contract with TCW because he failed to sign it in 2007, while Mr. Brian said a handshake agreement between Mr. Gundlach and TCW officials along with e-mails from TCW executives congratulating Mr. Gundlach proved he had a valid contract when he was fired."

Gundlach was the biggest manager at TCW, and you're telling me that his contract was a handshake agreement and some emails?
  • JURY VERDIC TO BE ANNOUNCED FRIDAY MORNING
  • Reply to @scott: The jury awarded Mr. Gundlach $67 millions for his TCW contract. However, Mr. Gundlach is found guilty of using TCW's proprietary trading tools after he left. The damage amount due to TCW has yet to be determined. This should come to conclusion next week or so.
