Goldman Sachs Expands Lineup Of Alternative Funds

FYI: Goldman Sachs Asset Management continues to expand its liquid alternatives business with the recent launch of two new funds; one is a long/short equity and event driven fund while the other is an alternative income fund with a focus on MLPs and the energy sector. The Goldman Sachs Long Short Fund (GSEAX) debuted on September 30, and the Goldman Sachs MLP and Energy Renaissance Fund (GER), a closed-end fund, started trading on the New York Stock Exchange four days earlier. In all, Goldman Sachs now operates seven liquid alternative mutual funds, in addition to a pair of closed-end alternative income funds.
