While looking around......a few articles......

edited November 2011 in Off-Topic
Perhaps I should just do the "Thumper" thing from the "Bambi" movie; in that, if I can't post any links that are nice, I shouldn't post any links at all.

Nah, we always have to be "looking around".

Take care,

Catch

  • Ouch ! Bambi's parents faced a more difficult situation in Michigan starting last Nov 15 with the opening of firearms deer season........no less than 750,000 folks into the woods for several weeks. This is aside from other deer hunting with other than a rifled gun.
I don't hunt and as the deer have few natural predators these days, the thinning of a very well fed population is okay with me. Numerous drivers are killed throughout the year from collisions with deer; as well as hugh sums of monies being spent for repairs from auto/truck accidents involving deer. One uncle who is a deer hunter; "bagged, or perhaps; bumpered" no less than 3 deer with his vehicles about 10 years ago in a 3 month period.

Thanks for the most interesting video link.
