Succinct Summations Of Week's Events 10/10/14: Positives & Negatives

  • Its interesting that the lower than expected data out of Germany was listed as a negative. I would tend to view that as a positive because the Germans are the key force slowing down European QE by the ECB and to whatever extent the German economy is faltering has to at least marginally move them closer to supporting what France, Italy and others want. I believe they need to ease monetary policy even more aggressively and that it will help the economy and the stock markets of Europe, as well as further weakening the Euro.
