How Retirees Can Tend Their Mutual Fund 'Garden'

FYI: For retirees, investment planning during their golden years can become a delicate balancing act—protecting and preserving such accounts for the next few decades. While mutual funds are popular among retirees, managing these accounts is a bit like tending a garden: You need to prune, pull weeds, and replant, and you need to do it on a seasonal basis. By doing so, you can help ensure that the mutual funds in your portfolio are ones most likely to further your financial and retirement goals.
