Treasury Funds Lead Broad Bond World Gains In October

FYI: The bond market bounced back neatly in an eventful October.
Investors in taxable mutual funds scored a 0.61% gain overall, according to preliminary Lipper data.

The gain reversed September's action, which saw setbacks across virtually all taxable categories.

Investors rushed into U.S. Treasury securities on concerns about global economies losing steam. Even some elements on the home front look shaky, said Andrew Chorlton, manager of the $25 million Schroder Long Duration Investment-Grade Bond Fund , up 17% year to date.
