Stock Market Gained In October Despite Early Scare

FYI: Despite a plunge in the first half of October, in the end the stock market gained ground last month, lifting most stock mutual funds along with it.
Ultimately, investors were unable to ignore the growing attractiveness of U.S. stocks.
The average domestic stock mutual fund gained 2.66% in October, according to Lipper Inc. data. SPDR S&P 500 (ARCA:SPY) gained 2.36%.
U.S. equities' allure was polished largely by various central bank moves.
