FYI: Sentiment moves markets, but shouldn’t move you

Call it a sigh of relief or the pause that refreshes, but it’s clear that a market that was giving investors the jitters just a few weeks ago is giving them a contact high today.

The problem is that investors who get lost in that swirl of emotions are likely to suffer losses because of it.

It’s the picture of everything that investors typically do to damage their performance, all while doing things that stir their emotions as being the “right thing to do.”
