  • If you followed the case/trial in this instance you'd note that the couple worked together so the judgement seems reasonable in this case. OK law also separates personal from marital property in divorce settlements.

  • Great quote Maurice, sounds like something more attributable to Joan Rivers but we'll take it.
  • Rivers goes down in "Plastic" surgery is there anything more appropriate?, not being mean, Just the irony of it all...was it worth it?

Not knowing your source regarding plastic surgery for Joan Rivers, the below is the medical examiner's report.

However, this is from the New York City Medical Examiner's Office report:

The department confirmed that Rivers died following a complication during surgery that caused her brain to be starved of oxygen.

In a statement issue by the department yesterday, Julie Bolcer stated: "OCME [Office of Chief Medical Examiner] has completed its investigation. The cause of Ms Rivers' death is anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest during laryngoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with Propofol sedation for evaluation of voice changes and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

"The manner of death is therapeutic complication. The classification of a death as a therapeutic complication means that the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy."

The late star had undergone the operation in August in order to investigate voice changes and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

    >>>This procedure could be a procedure many "older" folks may need or choose to have. Reports indicate the likelyhood of air flow being blocked to her lungs and folks weren't paying attention.
  • I had that procedure, they went down my throat with a garden hose looking device, and expanded my esophagitis, it was nothing...no more acid back up in the throat, easy
with all that medical rhetoric are you sure it wasn't turkey throat hanging to be tucked up?
