Small-Caps Gain Most Since 2009 as U.S. Growth Cures Correction

FYI: American small caps, whose 13 percent plunge heralded a global equity selloff that erased $3 trillion in the first 15 days of October, are rallying back.
The Russell 2000 Index (RTY) has surged 13 percent over the past month, the biggest 30-day increase since August 2009. Short interest (IWM) in an exchange-traded fund tracking the benchmark small company index is the lowest in three months.
