FYI: Jobless claims for the latest week came in higher than expected, but still remained below 300K for the ninth straight week. While economists were forecasting claims to increase by 2K from last week's level of 278K, the actual increase was 12K to 290K. The current nine week streak of sub 300K jobless claims represents the longest streak since July 2000.
