Mark Hulbert: 3 Lessons From The Stock-Market Anniversary Everyone Forgot About

FYI: This week marks the sixth anniversary of one of the most momentous events in stock market history.
Strangely, I haven’t seen any mentions of it, much less serious attempts at drawing the many investment lessons it provides.

I’m referring to the totally unexpected behavior of the CBOE’s Volatility Index VIX, -1.29% in October and November 2008, and the huge damage it caused to trading systems that were based on the VIX.
Regards,
Ted
