ETF Market Vital Signs, Nov. 18: Japan Bounds Back

FYI: U.S. stocks rose, following shares in Europe and Asia. Concerns about Japan’s recession were assuaged somewhat by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s pledge to postpone a consumer tax hike, originally forecast for next year. Meanwhile, a program to link outside investors to shares traded in Shanghai, in its second day, failed to garner enthusiasm. Miner stocks continued to rebound.

Ted
