ETF Market Vital Signs, Dec. 10: Oil Slump Pressures Stocks

FYI: Falling projections for crude demand sent oil prices plummeting to fresh five-year lows. Sinking oil, predictably, hit energy stocks, but also bled into the broader market. Some traders cited managers locking down gains in other sectors as losses in energy mounted. Bonds rose, while emerging-markets most dependent on oil exports fell.
