The New Brazil: Time To Join The Carnival ?

FYI: ,In 1927, Henry Ford had a rubber problem. The solution,
he believed, was to invest in the Brazilian Amazon. Therein
began the epic misadventure of an American industrialist
who sought to invest in Latin America’s largest nation. Facing
a monopoly from his Asian rubber suppliers, which increased
tire costs, Ford bought 2.5 million acres of land on the banks
of the Tapajos River from the Brazilian government and set
about building a massive suburban town, which he christened
Fordlandia to house the rubber workers.1
