Mutual Funds Soar In The First Quarter, But They’re Still A Bad Buy

FYI: It’s common knowledge that index funds tend to beat actively managed mutual funds.
That didn’t happen in the first quarter — not by a long shot. But a review of three- and five-year performance tells a different story, one that highlights the case made by John Bogle, the founder of Vanguard Group.
