The market generally suffers from a massive case of shortermititus. Success at long term investing generally involves selecting high quality companies at a reasonable price and ignoring market news on issues not specific to the company. The movements of currencies, interest rates and elections have nothing to do with the company and one is better off ignoring that type of chatter.
