ICI Public Relations re. "How ETFs Work" (except on days when they don't)
I have discerned a growing discomfort by some who frequent this discussion board regarding the nature of ETFs as investment vehicles, so perhaps we should dive in? And what better place to begin than with what the industry's mouthpiece says they are--- their "essence"--- and how they work (albeit, as usual, generally speaking).
