Small-Cap ETFs Stride Ahead As Investors Turn Optimistic On Oil, GDP

FYI: In a small but telling sign of the markets’ mood, small-cap ETFs spearheaded Friday’s gains. Stocks rose in early trade, but major indexes reversed as oil prices faltered and revised GDP data raised the odds of a rate hike in March.

Vanguard Russell 2000 (VTWO) advanced 0.5% on the stock market today and posted a 2.7% weekly gain.

The ETF now has the 50-day moving average in its sights.
