Deutsche Bank in Italy

I am on my last day of a 12 day holiday in Italy and there are branches in every city I've been to. Not once have I seen any customers in any of them as I pass by them. Italy has massive unemployment and in recession. Many of the cab drivers are out of work engineers and tech people. Their biggest industry must now be tourism as everywhere is crowded with Americans . Best food in the world the past two weeks. About to come home and sleep for a week:). A d try to lose the weight I gained.

I would suspect that a lot of people there do not use the banks. There were rumors at one point during the PIGS financial crisis that the govt was going to use some or all of that money to get out of trouble. Bank runs followed.

    Great food though.
