Morningstar, Day Two: SmartMoney ceases publication

This actually made a bit of a ripple at the conference, not entirely drowned out by the market's sharp decline. September will be the last issue of SmartMoney, once head-and-shoulders sharper and more data-driven than its peers. Dow will, they promise, "beef up" the online version.

  • I used to subscribe to Smart Money and Money. I stopped both. I received the print edition almost a month earlier than the printed date on the magazine. Even so, the articles printed were contained outdated data. For example, for June their cut-off date is probably end of April and authors are probably using data from beginning of April or late March. I hope their online version is more up to date now.
