Trials of a Working Class Investor, Sing along if you choose....(Catch22)

edited May 2011 in Off-Topic
Howdy,

Manual labor at the house.....must help the blood flow to the old brain cells;
but, at the least, gett'in some of me chores done, too.

This little rewrite of the 1967 song, "Dock of the Bay"; fell into the snynapse zone.
Thanks to Steve Cropper and Otis Redding.

The young ones here may have to YouTube the song for the "feel" of the tempo
and then flip my words in place.

Take care,
Catch

Sittin' in the morning sun
I'll be sittin' when the evening comes
Watching the funds roll in
And I'll watch them roll away again

I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watching machine traders play away
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wasting time, yeah

I left my equity funds 3 years ago, 1 month after May
Headed for the MoneyMarket Bay, yeah
'Cause my equity funds had nothing to live for
Looks like the traders still want to play

So I've just to sit on the dock of the bay
Watching the traders play away
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Just investment thinking time, hey, hey, yeah yeah…

Oh…It looks like there always is change
Yes nothing remains the same
I can't do what ten economists tell me to do
I guess I'd better read more MFO today

Sittin' here resting my bones
Those moving averages won't leave me alone
Seems like 2,000 web sites I roam
Just to bring some investment returns home

So I've just to sit on the dock of the bay
Watching the Funds Boat changes in the waves sway
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Just thinking time, ah thinking time…
