Small-Cap Stocks Still Rule; Can The Stock Market Keep Going Up?

FYI: The stock market continued its overall advance the past month, with funds invested in small-cap stocks maintaining their grip on most of the top spots.

Eight of the top 10 ETFs belonged to the small-cap stocks category based on year-to-date performance through Aug. 14, according to Morningstar Direct. But top honors went to $267.1 million Invesco Russell MidCap Pure Growth (PXMG), which tracks the index bearing the same name. The underlying index is composed of stocks from the Russell Midcap Index, which comprises the smallest 800 equities of the Russell 1000 index.
