Some Like It Hot

edited September 2019 in Off-Topic
Despite just about everyone and his uncle concluding (in some instances for the past decade) that “this can’t last”, nearly all domestic markets continue surging ahead. Nearing the 3/4 point of 2019, many indexes are already up 20-25% YTD. Stocks, precious metals, REITS - bonds of many flavors are all red-hot following a lackluster 2018. Compare those (risk asset) double-digit returns to the paltry 2 or 3% available for “safe” cash on deposit and the disconnect appears downright bizarre. What does it all mean? What might it presage? Where will it end? I have no idea. But enjoy it while it lasts.

    Couldn't resist @hank

Think of the investor and the markets with these lyric words.

The "girl" in the lyric being the markets.

The other words being the decision making and the temptations of the markets to the investor; and how she/he considers the investing decisions.
