FYI: We live, indeed, in interesting times.

You might think you hear in that statement an echo of “an ancient Chinese curse, ‘may you live in interesting time.’” Yes and no. I was thinking of the phrase but it’s not ancient. Also not Chinese. It appears to have been invented in 1936 by a member of the British foreign service who was trying to sound … uh, profound.

  • If Charles Lynn Bolin is reading.

The list of funds toward the bottom of his article - either the symbols are not all correct or the names are not all correct, e.g. DODIX is not Alphacentric and VWINX is not Voya.

  • I'll share with him. And thanks!
  • Thank you for pointing this out, VintageFreak. There were three names that were wrong in Table #6 of the October Article, but the data is correct for the symbol.

For DODIX, the name should have been "Dodge & Cox Income" instead of "AlphaCentric Income Oppor". ISCFX should have been "Voya Investment Grade Credit SMA" instead of "Vanguard GNMA Inv". VWINX should have been "Vanguard Wellesley Income Inv" instead of "Voya Investment Grade Credit".
