"Great Rotation"- A Wall Street Tale ?

    Hi Ted,

    Thanks for posting ...

In the article it references that those that think they are coming early to the party may indeed be coming late. Well, those are my thoughts too and that is why I have been selling equities down as the stock market advances. My late father would not chase an equity run as he felt if one had not already positioned it was most of the time too late once the big run had started. It seems we are in a big run now and those that buy in now will get fleeced.

In January I reduced equities within my portfolio and raised cash by a like amount ... and, even with this activity ... my equity positions grew as a group by about three percent.

So with this, cash was a net gainer for me along with equities ... and, my income area was, let us say, stuck in neurtal, so to speak.

I have linked below the Lipper Indexes for those that would like to see how both stocks and bonds in general have been fairing.

Have a great day ... and many thanks for your fine post over the years. It is much appreciated.
