Value Stocks Have Another Big-Name Bull In Their Corner: Cliff Asness

FYI: Stocks that trade below their intrinsic value—so-called value stocks—have been out of favor for the past decade because investors have preferred high-growth names to solid-but-slow businesses.

Since early September, however, there have been signs of a value comeback as the group reached a historical level of cheapness. Many fund managers have since argued that a sustainable rally in value stocks could be under way. Now, another big name has shifted from bear to bull for the market’s cheaper group of stocks.
