"All the December wine chatter for consumers is usually around best-of lists and recommendations for this or that type of gift. This year there’s still plenty of that, but there’s another, more sobering thread of chatter that’s also drawing attention.

Tariffs.

Specifically, the proposed tariffs by the United States Trade Representative (USTR) that could levy up to 100 percent on European wines as soon as February 2020."
