I will retire mid-year and wondered what might happen if I used my entire FSA before I stopped making contributions. I figured that I would have to pay back any amounts not funded.
Hah! Turns out, that they may be required by law to eat it! I shall make certain that there is nothing left by my retirement date. That should be easy. Had I known during benefit enrollment, I might've raised my allocation another thousand.
