but it omits the growing role and participation of gov officials during and after their influence...which means the 'moats' can go on much longer via crony capitalism.

  • Tariffs are certainly part of that. It doesn't take much more than a few minutes on wikipedia to find out the history of how Americans feels about tariffs. Shoot, all you have to do is look at the old-fashioned cartoons to get the drift.
