Art Cashin: Traders Expect Market Moving Fed Statement
Art's correct. Appears to be a real division presently among the Fed watchers. Some believe strongly there will be no taper this year. Others expect it at the next Fed meet. Somebody's going to be very disappointed. Add to all this it's Bernanke's last hurrah as Fed chief. My best guess: no taper in Dec. - but accompanied with much stronger (hawkish) statement. Down I think will be the initial market direction. fwiw
