Twelve Charts To Watch For Signs Of The Next U.S. Downturn

FYI: (Some food for thought ! I think Reuters did a nice job putting this together.)

The U.S. economy is a year away from surpassing the record 120-month 1991-2001 expansion, according to data from the National Bureau of Economic Research.

The stock market bull run is also nearing a record. Bull markets are typically measured retroactively, but U.S. equities could hit their longest bull run in history on Aug. 22, according to S&P.

  • Interesting -- Number 11 INVESTMENT-GRADE YIELDS has been well above 2% since 2009 (except for a recent brief dip below). That's a long time to be indicating a recession which still doesn't seem to be imminent.

  • @dstone2 My tea leaves have been telling me the same thing and the alignment of the planets have confirmed it. I'm just waiting for South Korea to tell me when to sell at the exact market high.
