  • Hi Guys,

    Monkeys don’t do too bad in the investing arena either. See the reference:

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/rickferri/2012/12/20/any-monkey-can-beat-the-market/#7ef5c442630a

    From the article: “ Burton Malkiel claimed in his bestselling book, A Random Walk Down Wall Street, that “A blindfolded monkey throwing darts at a newspaper's financial pages could select a portfolio that would do just as well as one carefully selected by experts.”

    Our investing record is not very stellar. Forget stellar, we don’t even shine when compared to market averages. Nobody likes being below average, but that is indeed the record. We make roughly one half to two thirds of those averages. That’s a sad and costly performance shortfall.

    Best Regards

    @Ted,

    Thank you for demonstrating how utterly devoid of substance today’s “newscasts” have become. If it helps sell peanuts to the masses, who gives a damn whether the public is informed about the substantive issues of health, climate change, governance, education or cultural and scientific achievement?

    One wonders whether chimps might possess more common sense then to dull their minds consuming such garbage.
