CBS News

"Producer Alicia Hastey departed CBS News Wednesday, saying the kind of work she came to do
was 'increasingly becoming impossible,' as stories were now evaluated 'not just on their journalistic
merit but on whether they conform to a shifting set of idealogical expectations.'"

"Hastey’s criticism came a little over two weeks after Bari Weiss, the anti-'woke' opinion journalist
who became editor-in-chief CBS’s News, unveiled her '21st century' vision at a town hall meeting.
Weiss told producers and staff they were free to leave if they didn’t like it.
Since then, at least six out of CBS Evening News’s 20 producers have accepted buyouts."

  • It is really a shame what Weiss and Paramount Skydance have done to an old-faithful legacy media giant CBS. So many producers and respected reporters now either leaving or handcuffed by this new agenda.

I remember growing up as a 6-yr old when Douglas Edwards and then Walter Cronkite were important and to be trusted parts of my information feed. I've given that up now and I am seriously scrutinizing 60 Minutes.

Oh it probably will get worse. Warner Brothers (owns CNN) is in talks with Netflix and has turned down a deal with Paramount since the Netflix deal was better. Now backers of Paramount are pushing Warner Brothers to make the deal with Paramount. If Paramount gets the deal kiss CNN goodbye as it'll take the same route as CBS and turn in state propaganda (aka FOX) as the owners of Paramount are Trumpers. Big big big money involved. Warner Brothers may have no choice as if they accept the Netflix deal it'll get shot down by the government antitrust folks if Trumps tells them to block it.

Donald J. Trump is most likely assisting his friend, Larry Ellison, in the Warner Brothers acquistion.
Trump denies this but the man is a pathological liar.
