  • Barry R's The Big Picture, Abnormal Returns, GMO, Bespoke Investment Group (their site, and they do regular commentary on Seeking Alpha), Calculated Risk, Invest With An Edge (for momentum scores), Guru Focus, Barron's blogs (Income Investing, Focus on Funds, Emerging Markets Daily), FT Alphaville, and once in a while, Learn Bonds.

I don't know many people who know about Abnormal Returns; it's the best linkfest on investing topics I've run across.

I keep a portfolio on Yahoo but don't find the commentary to be helpful.
  • Andy, thanks for mentioning www.learnbonds.com.

I agree with many of the sites mentioned. For those interested in fixed income I would add the following.

PIMCO - Bill Gross' monthly commentary is always insightful and full of perspective. However, there is usually a good article every week.

ETF Trends - With the exception of the Barron's blogs mentioned above (Income Investing- Michael Aniero in particular) , there is no place that provides as much regular commentary on fixed income market developments than ETF Trends.

Economic Musings Blog / CFA Institute Blog (The writings of David Schawel) - A real portfolio manager for a bank that isn't trying to promote his most recent trade.

Calafia Beach Pundit - Scott Grannis writes both about macro-economics, bonds and real-estate. Always interesting.

While not really, a fixed income specialist, I would like to say A Dash of Insight is one of my favorite investing blogs.

A request of help: I would like for people to visit my site (www.learnbonds.com) and give feedback on how it could be improved. Also, we are looking for knowledgeable people to write for us.

  • Reply to @AndyJ: Hi, Andy!

Junior recognized Abnormal Returns as a "best of the web" site among human-curated financial news aggregators back in May, 2012. He's recently submitted a bunch of updates for the "best of" series, and we'll be working to post the revisions throughout July.

I read the articles at morningstar.com as well as their newsletters - I get online acess from home provided by my local library. Very level headed, often something interesting. Vanguard puts out interesting research and I really like David Merkel at the aleph blog and Paul krugman.
  • I don't really trust Hussman anymore. But I still read his weekly commentaries. Someday, he'll be right.
  • Second the vote for Loomis.

Used to check out Bill Gross from time to time then I simply got tired of reading through 3 pages of tortured metaphor and other clap-trap to glean one nugget of insight.

I also like perusing Blackstone's site once and a while for commentary. GMO as well as First Eagle and FPA.
