FYI: Bruce Zimmerman, chief executive officer of the University of Texas Investment Management Co., said he resigned after about a decade overseeing the third largest U.S. college endowment in a mutual decision with the university.

Wonder where they get the facts. I am seeing UT endowment at $24 Billion almost anywhere else I look.

In a way it is double edged sword. High endowments don't necessarily mean better facilities. It means more of the circle of friends are donating (hint, hint, hint)
  • UTIMCO manages the endowments of UT, Texas A&M and the Permanent University Fund. The 37 billion is a combined number.
