@Old_Joe The photo leaves me to ask. How much co2 is being leased into the air ?
Going green ?
What gases are emitted by Kīlauea and other active volcanoes?Ninety-nine percent of the gas molecules emitted during a volcanic eruption are water vapor …
Good Grief. And we share the country with these nutjobs. And let them vote. Like they're normal people.
Ah, but @Old_Joe - Some "we-the-people" could overwhelm us and make them our "leaders" with full power over legislation. Oh, done deal.
Now, if …
Actually, I think it would be entertaining to see the sale price of one or more properties in New York that were part of the fraud allegations. The document linked below discusses the valuations and refers to the methods of valuation. Skimming it I …
A bit OT but this is what this thread made me think about. I think the US has had better luck spreading capitalism worldwide than democracy worldwide. This thread put my mind on this when I started wondering how corporate taxation could be leveled w…
@stillers I imagine many MFO-ers are acquainted with factorials, if only from their days in college. Google gets a lot of hits for a search for real world applications of factorials. I always tried to climb an optimal hill rather than investigate al…

Not quite my case. They owe me; I don't owe them. I was just trying to make a funny and guess I failed. Anyway, after my husband died in 2022, they pulled my unprocessed 2021 return to process "manually". After that who knows what they did with it. …
Does that mean I have to forgive the IRS their penalty for not completing processing for my on-time 2021 return? (I finally asked my Congress Critter's staff for help with this.)
@davidrmoran Delaware state retirees don't get COLAs. The legislature can vote an increase or a onetime bonus but rarely does and never is it guided by inflation considerations.
The society needs to let the science run where the science goes and divert their own energy in coming up with ways for all humanity to share the rewards and establish a equitable way of patrolling the direction of the applications.
In the town I live in the median price of a house is currently a little more than 10x the median household income. Even if $500K is excessive, the younger you are, the more you need to just sustain a middle-class existence.
I've started doing returns through Kohl's. I take the stuff to them along with a printout of the QR code Amazon generates. Kohl's usually gives me a discount coupon to use inside the store. Never gave them a sack of broken glass though.
Just another one of those rich people who are beyond the world I live in and pretty much can do whatever they want. Some people like some of them. I kinda like this one. I don't know much about otherworld ethics, admittedly.
