@rjb112; I'm a mainstream old fashion long-term fund investor, and yes your correct I not a fan of alternative funds. For income I suggest high yield bonds, and preferred stocks. My favorite, and one of my largest position is PFF.

@Charles Nice article,: I should have held UTX that I bought in the mid-fifties in 2009, and sold in 2011 at 82. In my opinion UTX is a far better run conglomerate than GE.
