The Board of Trustees of the Trust has approved a Plan of Liquidation for the WCM International Long-Term Growth Fund (the “Fund”). The Plan of Liquidation authorizes the termination, liquidation and dissolution of the Fund. In order to perform such liquidation, effective immediately the Fund is closed to all new investment.
The Fund will be liquidated on or about January 20, 2023 (the “Liquidation Date”), and shareholders may redeem their shares until the Liquidation Date. On or promptly after the Liquidation Date, the Fund will make a liquidating distribution to its remaining shareholders equal to each shareholder’s proportionate interest in the net assets of the Fund, in complete redemption and cancellation of the Fund’s shares held by the shareholder, and the Fund will be dissolved.
In anticipation of the liquidation of the Fund, WCM Investment Management, LLC, the Fund’s investment advisor, may manage the Fund in a manner intended to facilitate its orderly liquidation, such as by raising cash or making investments in other highly liquid assets. As a result, during this time, all or a portion of the Fund may not be invested in a manner consistent with its stated investment strategies, which may prevent the Fund from achieving its investment objective.

I opened an acct with them 5 months ago and am pleasantly surprised that now, all funds including institutional ones are NTF. I was with ALLY invest and the experience was Horrible. E-trade assigned us an adviser that handled all the issues in the transfer and there was no waiting on a phone call. ALLY did not have this available for the same sized account. We also got bonuses for transferring the account so we are quite happy with the service and experience. We discounted JP Morgan for many reasons at the time. What was also a great advantage was that we could also get an associated Morgan Stanley savings account now paying 3.25% in addition to various Vanguard Mmkt funds. We have other brokerage accounts with Fido, Vanguard etc and this so far has been the easiest to manage. The advisor is easily accesible and will continue to provide services as needed but does not give investment advice in this self managed account. And no, we are not trying to sell you on Etrade. Just relating our experience.

I can only say that I’m glad I retired nearly 25 years ago to live in a home I already owned rather than relying on the vicissitudes of the rental market. Your experience(s) may differ.

Count yourself lucky. We lost a large amount of money on our house in CT 1987 to 2020. We got about $50,000 more than we paid for it but in the 30 years we redid two BRs, kitchen, all the windows, new roof, finished the basement, new deck and sunroom, etc.
My parents would say "so what you had to live somewhere. We never made any money on any house we owned"

On a previous thread about IOFIX and variable prices vs NAVs,I elaborated on the fact that FARIX changed the price of their fund two months after I sold it and clawed back over $500 from me.
I filed a complaint with the SEC with the details of the dates shares etc. It took a couple of months but the SEC acknowledged my complaint and asked the fund company what happened.
Today they responded :
" U.S. Bank Global Fund Services made an accounting error in the Fulcrum Diversified Absolute Return Fund from June 9, 2022 until August 30, 2022. As a result, the net asset value of each share class of the Fund were redetermined for the period. The maximum error during the period was $0.07 per share, representing approximately 0.77% of net asset value, for each class. As a result, in accordance with Fund policy and in coordination with the Fund, shareholder purchases and sales between those dates were reprocessed.
Based on industry accepted practices, U.S. Bank Global Fund Services, as transfer agent for the Fund, initiated reprocessing of transactions on September 13, 2022 to make shareholders and the Fund whole. U.S. Bank Global Fund Services followed normal instructions to notify intermediaries, including Schwab and Fidelity, of the NAV correction issue and asked for assistance to get shareholder activity in alignment with the corrected NAVs. The intermediaries, including Schwab and Fidelity, then reprocessed the applicable transactions for their customers.
As a good faith gesture to Fulcrum and its shareholder, U.S. Bank Global Fund Services will reimburse the shareholder "
While my original question of "So What it was your mistake, why do I have to pay for it" was sorta ignored, they are making up the difference.
So it does make sense not to "just lie down and take it".

Fund Allocations (Cumulative), 11/30/22

There were notable increases in the allocations to stock funds, and declines in those for bond and m-mkt funds. The changes for OEFs + ETFs were based on a total AUM of about $28.17 trillion in the previous month, so +/- 1% change was about +/- $281.7 billion. Also note that these changes were from both fund inflows/outflows & price changes.

I tend to agree with LB that TSLA does have an advantage over GM F etc that have to retrofit all of their manufacturing, but both have made projections of meeting these goals in the relatively near future.
M* has the fair value of all three near double their price today, but TSLA PE is over 30, while F and GM are around 5. Same discrepancy for P/sales etc.
While it is uncertain what it will cost the legacy automakers to retool etc, I think there is a lot less risk in their stocks than TSLA at it's current valuations, even if they have crashed along with the stock. Add Musk and the risk goes up.
While electric vehicles are surely going to be take over the automobile market, it is uncertain how long it will take and the other question is who will pay for all of the infrastructure required for 50+% electric cars?
This and battery capacity will become limiting factors as more and more EVs hit the road. Not a bad idea to keep a legacy nonEV plant or two humming as people will be buying gasoline cars for years to come.

Bought 1000s DUK/pA to put some excess cash to work. Getting a qualified 6.05% dividend yield for at least a year or until whenever it gets called.

Southwest cancels another 4,800 flights as its reduced schedule continues
Following are edited excerpts from a current NPR report:

Hundreds of thousands of travelers hoping to fly on Southwest Airlines this week are likely to be left in limbo a few days longer.
After canceling roughly 13,000 flights in the last few days, the airline is planning to remain on a reduced flying schedule for a few more days, its CEO said in a statement late Tuesday.
All domestic airlines have returned to pre-storm delay and cancellation levels after being knocked off-kilter late last week by a severe winter storm. Yet Southwest Airlines, plagued by staffing shortages and an outdated scheduling system, is still paralyzed.
As of 9:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Southwest had canceled 2,508 flights for the day, accounting for 62% of its scheduled flights, according to FlightAware.
Thursday isn't looking great either: 2,348 Southwest flights have already been taken off the departure boards.
Bob Jordan, the Southwest CEO, admits a system upgrade is overdue.

Secure 2.0 (2022) has important changes for 529s.
Excess funds from 529s can go to Roth IRAs of the beneficiary (2024- ). Taxes and penalties won't apply to these rollovers. Several limitations apply: 529 must be 15+ years old; only the money contributed or earned 5 years prior to rollovers is eligible; normal annual contribution limits for IRAs apply; but there are no income limits or earned income requirements; lifetime maximum transfer is $35K.

I don’t agree with everything Krugman says here, but the differences between Tesla vs Microsoft and Apple are important ones.

The above is an NPR interview. There’s a written transcript of the full interview. But also, at the top, there’s a link to the (6 minute) audio version, which I found more compelling.
Once upon a time (80s and 90s) this was a great little airline for some of us living in downstate Michigan (and I presume elsewhere). Low cost, easy to deal with, very consumer friendly - including no-cost (or very low cost) schedule changes. Their “on-time” was as good as or better than the majors. I never cared for their “stampede” boarding method in which all lined up and then dashed aboard to grab the best seat they could. But to the airline it was a time saver. And one did tend to have an extra connection when flying any distance - for example, from Detroit to Florida. But all in all it was a fine operation.
What happened? Dunno. But their once warm labor relations have turned decidedly cold in recent years. Chill may be evident in my linked interview. And their sole reliance on the 737, for many years a strength, may have turned against them in a number of ways.

I have to believe this affects its stock too.

There were no dividends/ordinary income numbers in the link I posted earlier. However, PIMCO as other mutual fund families are paying dividends near the month's end. I am expecting several of my investments to pay dividends.
