Best Bond Funds To Leverage Against Credit Sensitive Funds

I've been analyzing my current bond portfolio and noticed that I've dipped into too many funds that are credit sensitive - the exceptions being DODIX and MWTRX. What type of bond funds do you recommend to balance a credit-sensitive bond portfolio? I've done some research and found that government bond funds, such as GNMAs, seem to fit the bill. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
