  • Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  • From the article - “ A study in Japan found that the risk of infection indoors is almost 19 times higher than outdoors. Some situations may be particularly risky. Meatpacking plants are likely vulnerable because many people work closely together in spaces where low temperature helps the virus survive.”

This doesn’t say, but COVID seems to spread far more by “breaths” than on surfaces. We should all be wearing face shields.
  • Thank you. Excellent scientific article.
  • All of the covid articles at Science and the New England Journal of Medicine are free. If you can understand a mutual fund prospectus you can read the scientific literature!
  • Bad healthcare can be more dangerous than the virus. Very sad.
Years of neglect have hobbled many Mexican hospitals. Now, as the pandemic strikes, some patients are dying from neglect or from mistakes that are easily prevented, doctors and nurses say.

  • As @bee pointed out poor health care system and in combination with lack of pandemic plan and proverty will worsen the COCID-19 impact. Brazil is a good example where it became the second country after US to have the highest fatality cases. https://npr.org/2020/05/25/861909558/brazil-has-the-2nd-highest-number-of-the-coronavirus-cases-in-the-world

And this is only the beginning as reporting on other Latin countries are hitting the headline.
  • Great article, @sma3- thanks very much.
