I tried for years to time that damned oil market - albeit indirectly through resource funds like PRNEX. A tough nut to crack.

The roller coaster (from memory) ran something like this:

- Peaked at $85 - $90 around 2008

- Than down to $28 in 2016

- Back up to $60 a year later.

- Than all the way down to negative $36 in mid 2020. (They were giving it away.)

- Than jack-assed back up to $82 today - a year and a half later.

How on earth do you time something like that as an investor? How do you explain it? I guess that’s how fortunes are made. Just not mine.
