Yes, we subscribe to the Economist- takes me most of the weekend to go through the week's issue. For my money, about the best news consolidator left in the business, and pretty balanced on the left/right axis also, I think.
Speaking of left/right a friend of mine from the dark side told me recently that brain-control central (Rush, I suppose) condemned the Economist as a left-wing propaganda sheet, and advised all of the faithful not to read it. Reminds me of when I was young and Rome said the same sort of thing- maintained a list of "forbidden" books and such. Don't want people trying to think for themselves... never know what might happen!
