New Veep position created. Abbas holds zero credibility, internally. The new Veep is already something of a "right-hand man" to Abbas (Abu Mazen.) Hamas was legitimately elected back in 2005 or '06. But they deserve no more support. I recall they even forcibly removed any Fatah personnel in Gaza, back then, soon after the election. Abbas has been too willing to collect mere crumbs from the Israeli Occupiers.

Fatah and the P.A. truly need a scouring-out and a new beginning, whether or not with the same name. Of course, hanging over this picture is the constant, grinding, violent, despicable, military Israeli Occupation. And while the current genocide in Gaza is ongoing, with all attention focused there, Bibi is destroying everything in the West Bank. Where is any sort of statement from the new ambassador of the US to Israel? Oh, ya. There won't be one. He's a "Christian" Zionist.
