56 percent of Independent voters also agreed with the question, suggesting the floating voters who helped put Trump in the White House have already begun to desert him in droves.
However, despite the setback the president still enjoys overwhelming support from Republicans, with
81 percent agreeing with the statement “Trump is a strong leader who should be given the power he needs to restore America’s greatness."
