Why was that thread closed?

Was it too much thread drift? Was my last sentence too snarky?

Otherwise, the amount of extraneous horse play seems pretty much par for the course these days.

We frequently have thread drift at MFO—I doubt this caused the thread to be closed.
Your last post seems fine so I don't think it led to thread closure.
Some comments in my prior posts may be to blame.
This is just a guess as I haven't received any official information.

Well. I'm pretty sure there is worse over there at the moment, but I don't intend to provoke the admins to look for more.

  • @WABAC- Your comment certainly didn't seem snarky to me, but then I may have a higher threshold for "snarkiness" than some. And then of course there's a bit of difference between regular ol' "snarky" and "troll level snarky", isn't there?
    :)

  • @Old_Joe, mainly I thought it was peculiar that it was closed on the 13th after the thread went in a different direction, with none of what I loosely call horse play. I don't really intend to get into a lit-crit thang.

I was planning on following up on examining the five historical dates mentioned just to see what was going on at the time. I know that the P/E ratio of the 500 was likely bouncing around under 10 for the first two. Well, maybe some other time.
