Talkin bout my Generation @ No Kings.

Just a personal observation based on my local No Kings but it seemed like more boomers than any other demographic. Anyone else see similar grey demonstrators?

  • Yes, but more of everyone else, too; versus the June protest. But, the majority was boomers. We boomers have 'more' of the been there and done that experiences; and therefore have better reference points against when 'things' are becoming broken with OUR republic/democracy.
  • Same here: a great many Boomers, I'd guesstimate. But I wonder about the median age here in Hawaii? And what was actually the age-mix at the Honolulu rally at the State House? We did have lots of others, not grey-haired or bald. A boomer-era guitarist playing sing-along protest songs in the shade created a sure-fire crowd pleaser when he invited a little girl of 3 or 4 to lead us in Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land." He prompted her with each line of the lyrics. Simply marvelous.

Frogs, dinosaurs, unicorns and even Spongebob Squarepants were all there. I received a few compliments on my "Lebowski" T-shirt. "This aggression will not stand, man!"
  • Perfect shirt for the occasion, crash. And I didn’t see that at my location. The dude abides!
  • :)

    Thanks.
